About the Apartment
The property is on the first floor and is fully air conditioned, has two bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and a good size balcony with a table and chairs plus two loungers overlooking the pool.
The apartment will comfortably sleep four: the master bedroom, with a view over the pools and garden, has a king-size bed with two bedside tables and an alarm clock. The bedroom also has a wall-mounted TV and DVD-video player. The second bedroom has two single nested beds which save space in the room for daytime use. Both bedrooms have a large amount of wardrobe space.
The lounge and balcony extension are very bright rooms; the balcony faces south and so gets the sun for most of the day. The lounge has a sofa and an easy chair plus four folding chairs. It is equipped with a 32" flat screen TV, DVD player (with a small selection of DVD films), and a radio/CD player with a connection for MP3 players. Please feel free to bring your own music and films!
The kitchen is well equipped including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave oven, kettle, espresso machine, toaster, cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. There are plenty of pots and pans as well as a full set of kitchen utensils to allow you to cook full meals in the apartment, if you wish. A washing machine is provided in the bathroom.
The apartment also has a telephone, desktop computer and broadband, all of which are included in the price. We also have Wi-fi, so if you wish to take your own laptop, please let us know in advance and we will provide you with the access code before your arrival.
The Fontana complex was completed in 2000 and comprises 85 apartments in five buildings, all overlooking the central garden and pool area. This area comprises three swimming pools and well-kept gardens, including both sunny and shaded areas. Of the three pools, one is specifically for children and the largest is a deep pool for adults. There are also showers by the pool so you can rinse yourself before going for a swim. The central pool has a large fountain giving the complex its name "La Fontana". From the apartment, access to the pool area takes about one minute.
Dedicated covered parking is provided for one car a few steps away from the entrance to the apartment and there is a lift for easy access when carrying luggage or pushchairs. Outside the conveniently situated pedestrian entrance to the complex are the bins and recycling points (bins are emptied daily).
Behind the complex are orange groves with uninterrupted views to the hills of the La Sella development a few miles away.
Dénia is at the northernmost point of the Costa Blanca, just over an hour's drive from both Alicante and Valencia airports on the AP7 toll motorway.
Leaving the motorway at junction 62, it is about 10 minutes' drive to Las Marinas.
The complex of La Fontana is situated in Las Marinas, 5 km (3 miles) from the centre of Dénia. Within 10 minutes' walk you will find a well stocked supermarket (Más y Más), the beach and several restaurants.
There is a regular bus service into the town centre which leaves from Golden Park, the neighbouring urbanisation, and takes around 15 minutes for the journey.
Between the apartment and the centre of town on the Las Marinas Road are dozens of restaurants, bars, cafés and ice cream parlours.
Less than 15 minutes away by car is the major regional shopping centre, El Portal de la Marina; this is situated by junction 62 of the AP7 motorway.
